Botswana’s child labour action plan within reach
The end is in sight for the team that has driven a three-year process to develop Botswana’s national action plan on child labour: a comprehensive document will be on the table for final consideration in about two months’ time.
Similarities in commercial and subsistence agriculture
An HSRC research report, commissioned by TECL as part of the CLPA in South Africa, found that, if the law were strictly enforced in the absence of more effective poverty alleviation, children working in agriculture and their families would sink more deeply into deprivation.
