Children used by adults to commit crime
Children used by adults to commit crime is commonly referred to by the
acronym CUBAC and is one of the worst forms of child labour.
It is more technically described in Article 3(c) of the International
Labour Organisation’s
Convention on Worst Forms of Child Labour as “the use, procuring or
offering of a child for illicit activities”.
The term refers to adults or older children influencing or coercing
children to commit serious criminal offences, not mere
misdemeanours.
